Hello,

I have installed Proxmox Virtual Environment 5.1-42 in my server, it seems to working fine. But i am not able to ssh to server from some of the remote local machines.
It is allowed from 2-3 machines which have ubuntu in them. For others it is showing "connection closed" without any trace.

Following is the verbose of SSH connection.

There is no logs generated in the server side except for some audit logs in syslog.

Can anyone help me regarding this.

Thanks.

Check your 'sshd_config' as by default, access with root from anywhere is allowed. Also it could be because of firewall or routing issues that you don't receive answer from the server.

Hello,

Thanks for the reply,

Root login is already enabled and no firewall/ hardware-firewall is active.
As i said before some of the client are able to login to server without any issue, specifically from ubuntu client. Other clients are not able to login to server.

debug1: Connecting to 103.14.98.198 [103.14.98.198] port 10240.

AFAICS you try to connect via a different port (than 22) - did you change the listening port in Proxmox host or is somewhere a port forwarding respectively proxy in process? Check all related settings again carefully. For comparison: try to ssh into a VM (from one of the clients which are not working)
