Hellol All,
I have a Proxmox install (9.0.1) with 2 drives connected locally via SATA and a 12 drive SAS backplane with an HBA (Adaptec PMC-Sierra PM8019 SAS encryption HBA [Series 7He] (rev 06)) and currently only running Home Assistant/Frigate.
I passed through some of the physical disks to trueNAS previoously but from what I have read, I should be passing the entire controller through to trueNAS. Which means trueNAS will control all the storage available for the 12 disks of around ~60 TB. I don't need that amount of storage for trueNAS and wanted to split the drives up so that roughly half of the disks were available for Proxmox and other projects. If I'm passing through the HBA, none of that storage would be available to Proxmox.
Is there a way to run dual HBAs on a sinlge backplane? Or is there a method to split the storage between trueNAS and Proxmox safely?
