Access using the default console from Pve 8 works just fine for me, but I was curious on how Spice worked, and if the GUI was more fluent using that. So I installed the Spice agent tools and virtio drivers on windows and changed the virtual hardware to Spice in the VM settings.

I can connect fine, but the mouse behaves so weird that it becomes unusable.
Ideas this a known problem, and if so; are there a solution that i can try? My Google fu died not help me to track down a solution...

Thanks

Since practically forever I've had issues with remote [Spice] viewer grabbing mice when it really didn't have focus on Windows, independent of the client/VM OS.

Just minimizing or closing the remote viewer/spice window takes care of it.

Since Spice has more features and some extra accelerations, I often just tend to accept it.

But most of the time I just use RDP to access Windows VMs and if I need a GUI on a Linux VM I'd be using ThinLinc, x2go or just plain X-forwarding with ssh.

I use the console really just for setup and to observe reboots.
