Hi everyone

Looking for a little help please. I'm a casual user and not a pro so be gentle.

My boot drive was starting to fail (it would boot but the GUI wouldn't come up) so in a bit of a panic I copied the vm/lxc conf files to another box and made a new boot drive.

What I didn't do was run a backup like a normal person and then restore from the backup. So far, Ive got all the VMs listed, the SMB share up and running, and the zpool reimported.

What I'm missing is the random drive configurations that I had set up. They're not NFS shares, but local SSDs or virtual disks that were configured as local storage or passthroughs to some of the VMs. In particular I had something configured that was referenced in many of the confs as VMStore.

I have the old drive mounted and have access to /root

Where should I be looking for this last bit of the config?

Thank you so much in advance for any assistance.

So I fixed my own problem - gonna leave a note in case anyone else comes here through google.

Had to add all the drives back to the Storage tab for the Datacenter.

VMs are up and running again

A little bit more a general answer or hint (not specific to your question): throughout the years i used an Offline HDD Copy Station (not that expensive) if i see a HDD/SDD is about to fail (works better with HDD) - 60% it works and i can copy 1:1 the HDD and then after the first boot the Journal recovery works.
