[SOLVED] Safe cluster shutdown procedure?

I need to move one of my clusters from one rack to another - whats the safest procedure?

Powerdown all VMs,
Power down servers 3, 2, 1,
Power down NAS
Move hardware
Power up NAS
Power up server 1 , 2 , 3
Power up VMs?

If I got it right, you want to move one cluster node to another rack? Then the easiest way would be to live migrate the VMs to the two nodes that you can leave online, shutdown the node you want to move, move it to the new place, start it up again and finally migrate the VMs back to it.

But your suggestion would also work, but you will have to shutdown the whole cluster.

unfortunatly if it was just the nodes i'd add a temporary node to the cluster and do that process too but the NAS thats in the data cab needs to move too... (we had a sound proof data cab thats now being moved into a dedicated air conditioned server room and into a bigger cabinet for more kit )

That's what I do with my cluster for emergency shutdowns (like UPS power gets critically low). Only issue I have with this is when I bring the 3 servers back online, the one that boots the quickest doesn't join the cluster, so I just restart the cman service on that host. After that everything works as expected.

All done and worked fine without any issues
