Hi All,
Currently we have a bunch of web nodes that we wish to migrate to vms via Proxmox. Our main method of monitoring the bandwidth each of these nodes are pushing is via MRTG graphs based on data collected from the switch they are connected to.
When we move to a container setup, immediately we will lose the MRTG as each switch port will now be showing the sum total of all the traffic of the containers on that particular host that is plugged into the switch port.
Is there a way to setup SNMP on the host so that we can dump the bandwidth usage statistics of the virtual interfaces in the same manner that we are currently using with the current web nodes?
If it is not possible to do this on the host, can some form of SNMP be done on each container instead to achieve the desired effect?
Does anyone have any experiences doing this kind of thing?
