Hello,
I'm using PBS 3.3.4 and I setup a SMTP notification target.
I tested it and it's working well.
I modified the default notification matcher named default-matcher and I selected my smtp target and unselected the default mail-to-root target.
I've also disabled the default mail-to-root target into the notification targets.
Now into the syslog I can see that PBS is keeping trying to send mails by using "sendmail" instead of my smtp target.
I tried to reboot the server and there is no change.
Can you help please?
Thanks.

ok thanks!
In the documentaton I can see that:
"Starting with Proxmox Backup Server 3.2, a datastore created in the UI will automatically opt in to the new notification system. "
But it has not been the case for me?

I assume you created the datastore via "Storage/Disks", formatted some disk and ticked "Add as datastore"? I think there was some weird technical limitation causing this route to not opt-in, I'll check it out and see if I can fix this :)
If you create a datastore via "Datastore" -> "Add datastore" then it should have the notification mode set.
