SMART Werte und Garantie

Hallo zusammen,

in meinem Proxmox Host ist seit einem Jahr eine Crucial SSD verbaut. Durch Zufall ist mir im Webinterface aufgefallen, dass der ZFS-Status des Speichers "degraded" ist. Ich habe die SMART Werte ausgelesen, brauche aber Hilfe diese zu bewerten. Außerdem ist noch Garantie auf die Platte. Hat jemand Erfahrung mit dem Crucial Support. Soll ich die Platte einschicken?

Ein Beispiel, warum man Consumer SSDs eben nicht produktiv mit ZFS verwenden sollte. Die SSD (MX500-Serie) wird kaputtgeschrieben worden sein. Garantie kannst Du natürlich versuchen. Ob der Support das akzeptiert, bleibt abzuwarten.
 
Die MX500 ist bekannt für Probleme mit ZFS. Die SMART-Werte sind nicht unbedingt aussagekräftig bei den Dingern was Probleme mit ZFS betrifft. Afaik meldet ZFS häufig, dass TRIM von den Teilen nicht unterstützt wird. Dazu kommt noch ein Vabanque-Spiel mit unterschiedlichen Firmwares und Produktionsserien.

Ich hatte mal 6 nagelneue Modelle der Serie im Testrig mit ZFS striped mirror. Waren nach nicht einmal 3 Monaten reif für den Elektroschrott.

Mir war nicht bewusst, dass ZFS mit der SSD nicht die beste Wahl war. Ich werde die Disk einfach weiter als lvm benutzen.
