Slow network performance

Hi guys.

First of all: Thank you for this geniuos software, it's really nice, except one thing: My network performance between 2 PCs (1xKVM Guest , 1xHost) is not as i expected:

This is from my "normal" PC to the KVM guest.

[  3] local 192.168.1.199 port 40175 connected with 192.168.1.87 port 5001
[ ID] Interval       Transfer     Bandwidth
[  3]  0.0-10.0 sec    417 MBytes    350 Mbits/sec

This from my PC to KVM host

[  4] local 192.168.1.199 port 5001 connected with 192.168.1.2 port 54756
[ ID] Interval       Transfer     Bandwidth
[  4]  0.0-10.0 sec  1.04 GBytes    896 Mbits/sec

It's clear, that i can't get native speed, but not more than 50% difference, or?

I'm using virtio, and it's the same whether i use nat or bridge.

The CPU utilization is very high when performing the test.

My hardware:
AMD 4850e @ 2.5ghz
4 gb ram
nic: Ethernet controller: nVidia Corporation MCP77 Ethernet (rev a2) (RTL8211CL-GR)

Any ideas?

I'm sorry, i need to push the thread, i did not find a solution so far

It's clear, that i can't get native speed, but not more than 50% difference, or?

I guess the figures you get are quite normal with current KVM.
