I've been having some issues with network speed of multiple containers, the communication speed between containers and the rest of the network seems to only be around 100Mbps on a 1Gbps network
I have tried iperf between from contaier -> container, and I have also tried host -> container and container -> host - these speeds seem to be running fine, they report speeds around 10Gbps each time. This host to another physical machine on the network comes in at around 1Gbps which is expected as this is the actual network speed.
The trouble is when I am using one of my containers as a samba server, the speeds are ridiculously slow. I have installed apache/php on this container and used https://github.com/librespeed/speedtest as a speed test with the speeds being reported as 100Mbps upload/download- shown on download.png
I tried this same test on another container on this same host and the results were around the same at 100Mbps upload/download
In comparison, I tried the same apache/php/speed test on another physical machine on the same network and the results are dramatically different with 488Mbps/999Mbps - shown on comparison.png
running ip l for all the UP interfaces shows qlen of 1000 so they should all be running at 1Gbps?
I'm not sure how I can solve this issue but any help would be greatly appreciated!
