I have noticed that lately I am getting these errors on my proxmox installation:
sky2 eth0: hung mac 124:122 fifo 195 (68:63)
sky2 eth0: receiver hang detected
sky2 eth0: disabling interface
sky2 eth0: enabling interface
sky2 eth0: ram buffer 48K
sky2 eth0: Link is up at 1000 Mbps, full duplex, flow control both
I am running the following NICs onboard:
04:00.0 Ethernet controller: Marvell Technology Group Ltd. 88E8053 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller (rev 20)
Subsystem: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. Marvell 88E8053 Gigabit Ethernet controller PCIe (Asus)
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 82
Memory at f89fc000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=16K]
I/O ports at b800
Expansion ROM at f89c0000 [disabled] [size=128K]
Capabilities: [48] Power Management version 2
Capabilities: [50] Vital Product Data <?>
Capabilities: [5c] Message Signalled Interrupts: Mask- 64bit+ Queue=0/1 Enable+
Capabilities: [e0] Express Legacy Endpoint, MSI 00
Kernel driver in use: sky2
Kernel modules: sky2
I have heard of the exact same issues using these devices on other systems, but I'm not sure how to proceed with correcting the issue. One thought I had was using the manufacturing supplied driver from the Marvell website for Linxu 2.6.x kernel, but I was unsure of how this might affect performance on the Proxmox installation. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated as this error takes down the networking bridge and my CTs are unable to communicate outside the proxmox box.
Thanks!!
