Size of the base of Spamassassin.

Hi,
I sometimes do backup the base of Spamassassin and I see that the all-time size of the backup is different. Why?

And I teach my SpamAssassin from fetchmail but the size of the base(backup) is sometimes smaller than before.

what exactly are you backing up?
not sure what you mean

I use the command

sa-learn --dbpath /root/.spamassassin --backup > /tmp/07122021.db

and I get always different results of size file db

This can be - the bayes db is a SpamAssassin internal format (I guess a berkeley db below) - the backup/dump can probably vary in size
(maybe some tokens get compacted, when more mails are learned)

is the change in size dramatic?
