Hello!

I have a few redhat / centos 4 and 5 standalone systems (not vms) which is needed to backup. Is there a way to backup in with the proxmox backup server?

Thanks,
G

Nothing officially. But there is always the option to install a Debian on a pen drive, install the proxmox-backup-client package on it, boot into that Debian and then use the proxmox-backup-client to...:
a.) backup/restore the physical disks as block devices to the PBS
b.) mount your filesystem on Debian and then backup/restore individual files/folders to your PBS
