Hi,
I use a VM on my Proxmox server as a desktop.
One day, I thought it would be nice to have my new headset working on my VM. So, I plugged the headset's USB dongle into the USB port, and the entire server shut down.
There is a whole thread about it on Reddit: Shokz OpenComm2 USB dongle on Linux.
This is a good example of why you should not plug unknown USB devices into your server.
I would like to ask if there is any way to prevent the device from shutting down the entire machine and make it behave like a normal USB headset dongle. Or is creating a udev rule to block the device the only way?
Many thanks in advance
