Setting up DRBD9 on existing volume group?

Dear all,

I have the following volume group and I am reading this guide (my cluster is on Proxmox 4.4 so I installed the tools mentions on Linbit website):

My question is the following: can I just replace lvcreate -L 511G -n drbdthinpool -T drbdpool by lvcreate -L 511G -n drbdthinpool -T pve so that it can use the my pve volume group?

Is it safe for my current logical volumes?

Technically, yes, but drbdmanage assumes that your VG is called "drbdpool". You can change that in /etc/drbdmanaged.cfg though https://www.drbd.org/en/doc/users-guide-90/ch-admin-drbdmanage
