Setting gateway port

I have just setup a test machine with proxmox but have a problem in setting up the gateway in order to do an update. There does not seem to be any way to specify the port address ( 8080 in this case). Doing a search for the gateway setup does not seem to help me so I would appreciate it if someone could please point me in the correct direction.

The next release will have proxy support (but currently it is not possible to specify a proxy).

Thank you for the reply Dietmar.
As a workaround to update the system I changed the I.P. address to match my external connection and ran apt-get . Now that it has been updated I can reset the address and add some virtuals and see if they will work as needed!
