switch to proxmox hosts with FC SAN and a central high performance storage

Hello, in order to convert a high-performance FC environment from vmware to proxmox, I currently see no solutions as they were given in vmware.
This principle is not (yet) supported by proxmox? Is the only solution to convert to SCSI and eliminate the FC to use high availability environment solutions and snapshots etc?

The FC LUN should show up as a block device. Maybe multiple times. In that case, you need to configure multipathing, see https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/ISCSI_Multipath (most applies for FC as well, will be updated soon).

The only part, as compared to vmware, that is missing a built-in equivalent is the VMFS-like filesystem. Everything else is similar.

Hi @mou_fup , welcome to the forum.

When VMware runs on NFS datastore the snapshots are done at VMDK file level. This is technically equivalent to PVE doing snapshot on QCOW file when running on NFS.
