separate raid filesystem??

Hi what i am trying/want to do is: (preferably step by step noob guide) setup a filesystem on a iscsi raid that i can run vmdk, iso, and backups.. i am very new to this and appreciate any help!

I am running proxmox 1.8 i have a Drobo B800I and nothing is setup right now.
