Scripted, automatic download of backups to a external drive

Hello,

is there a way to automaticly, via a script, download the file content of a PBS snapshot?
In fact automate somehow what can be done in the GUI (see screenshot)

Well, it seems that there is a PBS API
https://pbs.proxmox.com/docs/api-viewer/index.html#/reader/_upgrade_/download

is that the way i could archive that?
Is there a Powershell solution around to work with that API?
