We want to schedule a backup of a Virtual Machine without using tapes, but the unique option I found is to create a Backup now. In the GUI of PBS I found the Tape Backup but we want to schedule the backup without tapes, is it possible?

You should be able to schedule this on the PVE side. You can go to Datacenter > Backup and add a new Backup Job there.
