SATADOM for PBS?

Greetings!

I'm in the midst of specing out a full NVMe solution for a new PBS server, replacing our existing spinning rust.

In the SM chassis I'm looking at, it comes with a pair of SATADOMs. It would be nice to use these to leave all the bays for actual storage.

I haven't settled on RAID10 or ZFS mirrors with striped vdevs.

Is there any internal PBS pieces that would benefit it being on faster storage than a SATADOM? I did a quick search and didn't see anything.

This is what I figured an ultimately had a SM AOC card handy with a pair of SSD in a RAID1. I figured I shouldn't skimp out.
