Hello,
first - for version 0.9 very good job :D.

After testing with local drives we wanted to test with a SAN disk on an IBM Blade, as Blades have two drives at maximum. The debug code says that the Firmware Image is unavailable (qla2xxx-ISP2312). Is there any chance to load additional drivers from diskette during the startup?

More Info

Did some tests in debug mode....

lspci
QLogic Corp. ISP2312 2GB FC HBA (rev 02)

insmod
qla2xxx Unknow symbol release_firmware
qla2xxx Unknow symbol fc_attach_transport
....
indmod cannont insert qla2xxx.ko

modprobe qla2xxx
qla2xxx ... Found ISP2312
....
qla2xxx ... Verifying loaded RISC code...
qla2xxx ... Firmware image unavailable
qla2xxx ... Failed to initialize

When I search through the web, it seems like a well known DEBIAN problem. Same hardware is running VMware ESX 3.5 fine....

We have no such system here, so I cant test/implement that - sorry.

I found an interesting link:
http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_Boot_From_SAN

But if you want that you need to modify/compile the kernel yourself (or somebody sends us such system to test with).

Managed a SAN-Boot now with the new 0.92 Beta version and a changed SAN adapter (now EMULEX).
Question is now, if there's a plan to integrate shared storage (such as GFS) to put all VZs in a common place.
