We have a VM with 2 disks - 1 each on different storages. After restoring from a backup, because you have to choose the storage, the disks all end up on the same storage. Is there anyway to choose a disk for each drive in the VM?
The reason is becasue for alot of our VMs, the O/S and core files are mounted on an SSD san but the static files on a SAS SAN. As users rollback to previous snapshots, it puts sometimes a 1TB SAS disk on our SSD SAN which is a problem. We then have to manually migrate the disk back which is a problem as we have large SAS disks of 1-2TB and the SSD SAN is only meant to hold small disks.
