Hello everybody,
thank you for the great possibility that proxmox gives me at work and in my homelab!
I have set um a pve with several vm's and lxc's and a seperated dedicated pbs-server at my homelab for personal use. Now I have a question to the restore ability of proxmox.
I have one vm that is running openmediavault and acts as a NAS. To that vm I did a passthrought of a 4 TB HDD, as it is perfectly described here. Now I backup the whole vm including the passthrought HDD and I am wondering how a restore works. Is the passthrought of the HDD automatically reinstalled if the vm is completely restored from blank?
If so, I am wondering, how the restore identifies the HDD, is it by the given ID?
Thank you so much for any clearification!
Best wishes!
