I have been testing the Veeam Proxmox backup agent and ran into an interesting (to me anyway),
oddity. This is a Windows VM that I have on Nutanix that I back up. When I restore with Veeam to Proxmox,
the backup works as expected but inside of WIndows the networking is a bit odd. Obviously since the underlying
virtual system is different it must adjust the device settings. What is strange is the driver listed for the VM is
'Nutanix virtio driver'. Windows seems to run okay with this driver,so I suspect it is more or less the same as the one that you
can use from RedHat. I deleted the network adapter, attached the recommended ISO from Proxmox and installed the
driver which now says it's 'Redhat virtio driver'. No idea which one is better or if they are more or less the same just with different branding.
