Hi,
one of my backups is a physical server in debian on PBS, everything works but I wonder how to restore a backup if my physical server crashes

is there any procedure for this ?
-do I have to reinstall an OS then restore the bakcup files?
-do I have to load a backup client on a usb key?
-do you have an example or experience?

Please,what can i do with this 3 folders/ files on PBS :
catalog.pcat.didx
index.json.blob
user.pxar.didx

thanks in advance

Hello, thank you for your answers.

(Just) one of the great things about the Proxmox dev team is that when a line item appears on their roadmap, it does happen. :)

Though, I suspect this isn't something we'd see before Proxmox 9, as it has to be implemented in PVE and PBS. So, and I'm just guessing, not before Q2 next year.

Simple solution would be to boot PBS iso to the rescue mode. Use the backup-client to restore a image file.
