Hi,
We have PBS installed on a Hp Microserserver Gen 8. The system is installed on a SSD and we have 4 hard drives to store the backups.

Today the power went out, and the SSD disk is dead.

What would be the correct way to replace it and recover the PBS ?

Hi,

do you plan to replace to whole server or just the defect ssd?

For the latter, since your datastores are on a different disks, the ssd used for the PBS installation should be replaced and the system reinstalled (consider setting up a disk mirror for the OS, so the need to replace a failed disk does not lead to downtime in the future).

After re-installation, you will have to reconfigure the system and reimport the datastores, which can be done by editing the /etc/proxmox-backup/datastore.cfg. If you have a backup of the PBS, you might use that.
