I have the following setup
a) one local PVE server
b) one PBS at Hetzner with local storage for easy accessible backups
c) Hetzner S3 storage as datastore for the PBS as backup from the backup (more longterm)
I'm testing a scenario where the backup got deleted from the easy accessible storage and has to be restored from the S3 storage:
1) backup a VM from local server to the backup server
2) sync that snapshot of the VM to the S3 datastore
3) delete the snapshot from the backup server
4) restore the snapshot to the local server
For step 4 I connected the S3 datastore to my local server via the backup server. After 90 to 150 seconds the restore aborts with
- for the client: TASK ERROR: connection error: not connected
- for the server: proxmox-backup-proxy[18668]: TASK ERROR: connection error: connection reset
Is this a known issue? How can I debug that?
For the record, the other variant of this scenario had a diffferent step 4: sync the snapshots back to the local storage but I could only select the whole group/host instead of the one snapshot that I want to restore.
