Restore failing - got wrong block address

Hi all,

I'm experiencing issues with restoring VM from a backup. Backup (full) was successful using Proxmox 3.4.
I get error when trying to extract VM image and conf file manually via console "vma extract vzdump-qemu-101.vma":
** (process:204066): ERROR **: restore failed - got wrong block address
- write bejond end

Free space is enough. Does anyone have any idea what to do with this?

Is it possible to convert .vma backup to .tgz?

tgz as in tar.gz is nothing more then a compressed file created by Gzip - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gzip
Similar to what zip and rar do.

tar cvzf archive_name.tgz filename.vma

will compress "filename.vma" into "archive_name.tgz"
have a look at http://www.thegeekstuff.com/2010/04/unix-tar-command-examples/ for examples.



most likely will not solve your issue tho.
