Hi guys, quick question, i need to replace my UPS and network switch today and i need to shutdown the entire cluster, what is the procedure for getting it back up after ie quorum as they will only be coming on 1 node at a time, i have 5 node btw no HA setup yet.

Thanks
Kurt

Hi,

after you shutdown the whole cluster at a time and did the maintenance work you simply power on every node. They won't have quorum until at least three nodes are online, during that time most cluster actions won't work, like starting/creating new VMs. If you have enabled automatic start for some VMs/CTs on startup it also need quorum, but waits up to 60seconds for that, else start the command manually after that.

After your third Node comes online (with corosync working) everything works normal.

A bit of a more specific question what you expect to work would be good. :)
