Dear All,

Would like some advise on resolving and issue with the following setup:

One main PROXMOX01 server with one local disk with no RAID. I have both OpenVZ VMs and QEMU VMs. QEMU VMs are stored on an NFS share on a separate NAS device. OpenVZ VMs are on local storage.

PROXMOX01 local storage seems to be exhibiting problems as shown by SMARTMONTOOLS, with lengthy spinup times.

I have installed another machine just with one disk which I called PROXMOX02, created a cluster between PROXMOX01 and PROXMOX02 and migrated most VMs across.

a) What is the recommended approach / procedure to reinstall the main boot disk for PROXMOX01?
b) Should I remove PROXMOX01 from cluster and do a plain reinstall from scratch?

Will purchase a basic RAID controller at least with RAID 1 for mirroring at least prior to installation.

Thanks in advance
