Hi.
Is there a way to resize (reduce or enlarge) the hard disk of a virtual machine, even using the command line and not the web interface?

Thank you very much
Bye

I try to explain:
what about creating an appliance template for the virtual machine I want to clone?
So I will be able to create a new virtual machine with the desidered size and I can use that appliance template as model, right?
How I can create a custom applicance template?

Appliance templates only works with openvz - but with openvz you can change the available disk space dynamically anyways.

So it should be better to use OpenVZ instead of KVM virtual machines?
But the question remains... How I can create a custom appliance?

Thank you very much.
And can I convert a KVM VM to a OpenVZ one?
I was really scared seeing how much is difficult and unconfortable resizing a KVM image...

Yes, possible for linux VMs, but it is to difficult to explain here. I suggest that you start with an openvz template and then migrate all services to that new machine step by step?

I don't really need this.
But I really need to resize the hard disk of the KVM VMs...
Not today, I can wait some days, but I have to to it.
Really it isn't possible in a simple way?
