Hallo!
I am just testing out Proxmox VE for an upcoming project. Until now I am impressed of the integration of several OSS technologies! But now I want to do the following things:
* run KVM-Linux-Guest with virtual disk in a logical volume
* partition guests with 2 Partitions: 1st: 100MB boot, 2nd: rest LVM
* expand disk space of guest from Host (lvresize)
* somehow resize disk in Linux-guest without downtime
I know how to resize a lv with lvresize, but I don´t know how to make the guest recognize the new disk size. I would like to know how to recheck the disk geometry in the linux guest und resize the 2nd (LVM) partition and resize the PV from the second partition.
I have read about resizing guest disks in other contexts like vmware, with the step of rebooting the guest with a gparted-live-cd, but this is not what I want. It would be nice to do diskresizing in a production environment without downtime.
Maybe someone can help.
