Hello,

The computer I am using to run my PVE system only supports 1 NVMe drive and 1 SSD drive. I currently have the Proxmox software installed and running off of a 256GB NVMe drive. I would like to change out this hard drive for a larger 1 TB NVMe drive. Currently my VM disks and Container volumes are on the SSD drive. Is there a best practice to replace that NVMe with a new one and not lose my configuration and current VMs/Containers?

Thanks in advance.

one method:

boot your host with clonezilla, clone to external drive, restore to new nvme. iirc cloezilla ask if you want to resize partitions to max (if not this can be done later)
So I got the new drive in today and created an image of the old one using CloneZilla, upon restoring though it is telling me to use an option --force, which doesnt exist,in order to restore the LVM groups? Any ideas why that may be occurring? It wont restore the system. I believe it has to do with I have thin volumes.
