I'm using 3 gpu's, 2 as a passthrough and 1 for the host. The gpu I have to use for the host is not in the primary slot, thus my bios will not use it. To get around that I unplug all display cables, excep the one for the host, until it boots up.
In the host display output. I'm seeing the message "EFI stub: loaded initrd from command line option". This occurs on all non-primary monitors. The display output is not mirrored, which is what I would prefer.
I've now come across an issue with all VM's shutdown that use the 2 gpu passthroughs, my monitor & gpu used for the host is displaying that message above. I can't see a way back to rendering host messages without restarting the server. I don't know how to configure the displays on the host, but feel that maybe a solution. Is there another solution?
I really only want to show the messages from the server on a monitor, and honestly the default method isn't the greatest as I can't scroll in a console. ssh to see them sounds better to me, I just don't know if that's an option either.
Edit: That ssh option would be preferred, then I could use the disable_vga=1 option in vfio.conf as mentioned in the guide. https://pve.proxmox.com/wiki/Pci_passthrough
