Hi,
I'm new to Proxmox having been used to Windows and VMWare environments. I inherited a PVE and PBS setup from the previous incumbent of my position. It had not been updated to PVE8 when I took over and am now tasked with the update.
I have most of the update stuff sussed but tried to work out where the network would break by creating a PVE VM - in hindsight probably not a good idea. It has now broken one of the two arrays I have due to naming issues - it is looking for PVE for the old array but finding it in both the old array and the one I created to test the update.
I have tried removing the new array but cannot through the GUI and having looked at the console, there is not enough information for me to reliably remove the new array with the CLI. I don't want to wipe out the existing array as has VMs on it and a move to the other node threw errors that I thought better leaving until after the upgrade.
Is there a way of reliably determining what PVE array is what. I have used vgdisplay and lvmapper to try to get any sensible info from it but not sure what I am supposed to be looking for
I have found a way to rename the vg - use vgrename and the uuid shown by vgdisplay which matches the error message with the name you want to use after.
It successfully renamed the correct vg but the original still on the correct name is not working. Is there something I'm missing
