After upgrading to PVE 8.1 (from 6.4 and 7.1) I noticed that when using using machine type 8.1 (for the i440FX machine), custom machine settings for SeaBIOS (which is still the default) are mostly ignored when querying from inside the VM, e.g. on Windows using PowerShell:
The same VM with machine version 8.0 reports my custom settings just as expected:
I only see this behavior with SeaBIOS booting from within the VM, the PVE GUI as well as the REST API show the correct values.
Is this a regression with PVE directly or an issue with PVE dependencies (e.g. the change to QEMU 8.x)?
