Can anyone help me recover LVM thin from 4 drives of 8 TB? Also, is there any software that can do that?

Please advise

The partitions are not active, but they still exist

What's the story behind your recovery request - moved the disks from one host to other, did an lvm group of 4 single disks and one died, ..., configs ?

I took two of these drives out when the server was online, but when I put them back, I couldn't make them work again

I will share the config here

Proxmox OS in 2 of 4TB NVMe with Mirro ( Raid1)

4 drives of SSDS of 8TB with a hardware controller H745_Adp on LVM thin RAID 5

Further, I have tried all the different possibilities in order to resolve your issue with no luck.

  • Restoring working .vg metadata with matching transaction_id
  • Repairing the thin pool with lvconvert --repair
  • Freeing space in the VG to enable repair
  • Restoring thin volumes to an active (Vwi-a-tz--) state

Also, what about these options

Here are some software solutions you can use:

**R-Studio** A popular paid data recovery tool that can handle complex recovery situations, including RAID volumes. It has support for recovering from -LVM partitions and may help restore data from the damaged LV.

EaseUS Data Recovery** Another recovery tool that supports RAID recovery and can work with LVM volumes. While it’s more user-friendly, it may not handle complex recovery scenarios as well as R-Studio

Stellar Data Recovery** Known for its RAID recovery options and LVM support. It may help in identifying and recovering lost partitions and volumes.<br><
UFS Explorer** Specializes in RAID and LVM recovery, allowing you to recover data from complex storage setups.

Consult Proxmox Support** (if using a paid subscription)

If you're using Proxmox with a paid subscription, you can get official support to help with data recovery. Proxmox support might offer expert-level assistance on how to recover data from the logical volume or help repair the volume group.

Take 2 ssd's out of a 4 ssd hw-raid5 ... that cannot work as you just can loose 1 drive and not two, sorry.
Do a new raidset (hw-raid, zfs or mdadm) and restore from backup.
