Hi All,
I had a node die in my homelab environment. I was getting ready to replace the motherboard so I saw there was an update for zpool and ran the zpool upgrade and that killed grubs ability to boot from the zfs pool. I installed a new ssd and installed a clean copy of proxmox 8.4 on the new ssd. I was then able to bring in the zpool into the new install with zpool import rpool. I made the entries in /etc/pve/storage.cfg so that the zpool survives reboots. I got a new copy of my subscription key and thats installed. I can see the vm disks in the web ui under the zfs-pool. My questions are this:
1. during update I got an error saying
Errors were encountered while processing:
udev
initramfs-tools-core
initramfs-tools
Im not sure how to deal with the errors.
2. Do I manually need to recreate each VM by hand using the disk images I have?
3. How do I get this node back in my cluster?
Ill keep searching in the forums and see if I can get some info
Thanks,
Sean
