Gigabyte B550i w/ Realtek RTL8125

Code:
lspci -v

Kernel driver in use: r8169
Kernel modules: r8169

ls /lib/modules/5.13.19.1-pve/kernel/drivers/net/ethernet/realtek
r8169

I am aware of existence of RTL8125 r8125 driver but my problem with this NIC is the following:

It works with the current kernel and with r8169 driver until I disconnect a network cable and re-connect it again.
The network connection restores after 3 min.
I have tested it in Ubuntu 20.04 with the same r8169 driver and the connection restores in 10 sec.
So I am not sure that this is the driver related issue and am not sure that I need to install r8125 (although r8169 can possibly affect 2.5G capability, which I do not need).
Can it be some Proxmox/Debian related issue?
I have checked ip a and the nic in question and the corresponding bridge restored UP state instantly.

Have anyone experienced this kind of a problem?

I was wrong about not trying r8125.

Installed it with the dkms support and it works flawlessly now.
