Is Areca ARC1203 Raid will boot for PVE 9 ?

No it is not the question about Proxmox! your server must handle this card and your BIOS to.
But what will you do with PCI Express 2.0 x1 for 1 nvme?
I will use SATA with Protokoll 3 that is cheep and work every time.

Read the data sheet of your Adapter and try it on a real Server, if you like.

i found this, no you can compile it.

Proxmox VE based on Debian 13 with a Ubuntu Kernel:

And they wrote: Red Hat Linux, Centos Linux, SUSE Linux, Fedora, Debian Linux, Ubuntu Linux will supported.

Maybe it can work after compile and install it.

Kernel buildin driver supports ARC-1880~3/12x3/12x5/12x6 series RAID controller since kernel version 2.6.36, ARC-1200/1201/12x4 series RAID adapters since kernel version 3.18 and ARC-1203 series RAID adapters since kernel version 4.5, ARC-1884ixl series RAID adapters since kernel version 4.16 and ARC-1886 series RAID adapters since kernel version 5.10.

Now I have a Testsystem with Proxmox VE 9.0.10 running on Kernel 6.14.11-2-pve and this Version is not on the list.
