Hello,
Some days ago I noticed I've installed all my windows VM (srv 2016 and 2019) on proxmox using Virtio Win guest tools v 0.1.240-1 but there is a newer version available: 0.1.262-2
Some question:
1- The changelog says absolutely nothing ( https://fedorapeople.org/groups/virt/virtio-win/CHANGELOG ). Why? What's different from one version to another?
2- Is it worth it to update to latest version all the Win VM or it's not necessary? Any performance or security improvement? Do you keep your Win VM updated?
3- Is it normal that when I try to update one of my VM the network card loose gateway and dns settings but keeps Ip address and subnet? I have to manually fix those settings using proxmox console otherwise VM is offline
Thanks
