Questions on status of virtiofs in PVE, and recommendations for use.

There seems to be a lack of clarity on the use virtiofs with PVE 8.2. Last official word on this seems to be just the reference to updating virtiofsd in PVE 8.0 release notes. Otherwise this old thread exists, but refers to using hookscript, etc., so doesn't really seem like a solution that would age well if/when virtiofs is officially supported.

Please clarify the recommended steps for using virtiofs with PVE 8.2.x in a VM. Please, some clarity on Proxmox's future plans for virtiofs in PVE, if any, would be helpful.

I would like to upvote the same question. Currently virtiofs host directory sharing works under Proxmox (even not bad), but there is no integration with Proxmox as such - it is more like try-and-fail approach. As a result we deal with poor consequences of overall system stability, security and performance in the long term.

Short comment on this matter from Proxmox team is appreciated.
