Question about Proxmox + Ceph

Hello,

We are using proxmox cluster with Ceph and we got some question from user and we would like to double confirm it is working in Proxmox with Ceph enviroment?

1/ Is is recommended to include the Erasure coding (EC) applied on the Ceph cluster calculation?

2/ As there will be HDD & SSD requirement in the project, will Ceph cluster support to create 2 difference type of pools
(1 pool for SSD, 1 pool for HDD)

1),yes it works okay,i would say with minimum of 5 ceph nodes
2) yes, different crush rules based on disk type.
