QMRESTORE | RAW files

Good afternoon Proxmox!

We're having a tough time, we backed up all our servers, restored all of them, all fine, except for our fileserver of around 450-500gb. that one does not restore, it gave interrupted by signal when there was only one disk left to.

Is there any proper logging to check?

Also, can we extract + mount the raw files somewhere?

Another crazy idea, if we get the raw files, can we substitute them in the lvm directly?

qmrestore does make the disk one block larger than it was when being backed up.
Maybe the last disk can not restore because you ran out of space?

It would help if you posted the output from qmrestore.

Yes. (That backup is a simple tar file)

Yes (dd).

@e100, we had around 1.3TB of usable space, backup was around 310GB.

Dietmar thanks, we successfuly tried it.

However, in a last effort, we tried restoring the same backup for the fifth time.

It worked the fifth time, it was awkward, but functional.

We were able to mount the raw files nonetheless, so everything was safer from that point on.

Thanks for your support, we always prefer to install everything from scratch when we update our proxmox infrastructure, so, hello 1.9!
