I needed to allocate more space to a qcow2 image, I have done this successfully many times before using qemu-img resize command "qemu-img resize image.qcow2 +30G"When I did it I got the message that it had been re sized successfully. When I went to start the VM I got the error that the vm was locked, it turns out a previous backup had failed and the vm was still locked.I unlocked it with the command qm unlock VMIDNow I cannot start the 2008R2 vm. I copied the qcow2 image and attached it as a second disk to another working vm thinking that the MBR may be damaged but the disk comes up as not initialized.Running the qemu-img check command I get tons of errors ending with:355154 errors were found on the image.Data may be corrupted, or further writes to the image may corrupt it.997340 leaked clusters were found on the image. This means waste of disk space, but no harm to data.205473 internal errors have occurred during the check. An error has occurred during the check: SuccessThe check is not complete and may have missed error.Any help on recovering this image would be greatly appreciated.
