Hi, I'm curious if this is documented anywhere (Wiki? or elsewhere?)

The docs in the wiki currently still refer to ProxVE 1.X method, which no longer seems correct for ProxVE 2.0 (no more pveca, now we use pvecm? But the help file isn't quite clear about sequence and syntax).

I already get the impression,

- once the hostname is set during install, you cannot change it
- once cluster is setup, you don't change a member much without clean installing it (?)

any pointers are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Tim

yes, you should not do that.

What do you mean by 'don't change a member much'?

Hi Dietmar, thanks for the quick reply. It seems these things work better if I learn how to read, and then after that, using this new found skill to read the documentation which is already in place. :-)

(ie, I had missed the ProxVE 2.0 specific docs in the wiki - somehow - when doing my searches - my oversight entirely!)

The docs re: Proxve 2.0 -- Create Cluster -- worked perfectly for me. So my new 2-node cluster works as expected now.

Re: my comment "changing a member much" - I do also see in the docs, there is a correct way to remove a node from a cluster; so that is very clear. So I think I have no further questions around this.

Many thanks!

Tim
