pvesm glusterfsscan <host> fails on showmount

I have built a new glusterfs server for my proxmox 5.2.9 environment, but am unable to add storage from the new server.

When I run pvesm and scan the host I get the following result
# pvesm glusterfsscan <host>
clnt_create: RPC: Port mapper failure - Unable to receive: errno 0 (Success)
command '/sbin/showmount --no-headers --exports X.X.X.X' failed: exit code 1

Why is it attempting to check NFS mounts for glusterfs volumes?

Why is it attempting to check NFS mounts for glusterfs volumes?

because (at least in the past) gluster had an nfs server builtin by default, making the lookup what volumes there exist rather easy

if that is not the case anymore, we would have to see if there is another way to get the list of volumes on glusterfs
