PVE9 doesn't recognize the SSD MNVe during installation

Hi!

I'm trying to install Proxmox VE 9 on my new home lab server (Minisforum MS-A2), but the installer doesn't recognize the SSD MNVe (Hikvision G4000E PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD) that I'd like to use. I've conducted multiple tests (see attached picture) and attempted various solutions suggested for issues with Linux not detecting or recognizing an NVMe SSD, yet none of them worked.

At this point, I'm seeking assistance from the community. Has anyone encountered a similar issue and managed to resolve it?

P.S. Before, I had another home server (Minisforum MS-01) where these two Hikvision G4000E PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSDs were functioning perfectly under both PVE 8 and PVE 9 installations (please see attached picture).

WHat's your BIOS version ?

Minisforum has released multiple BIOS updates for the MS‑A2 (e.g., 1.0.1 → 1.0.2). Several community members documented the update process, and Minisforum provides firmware downloads on their support site. This could help, in the past I've had similar problems with undetected or slower-than-expected nVME, solved bu BIOS upgrades (on other systems, not this one).

This may help :

I have BIOS version 1.02. I contacted Minisforum support, and they replied: “It seems that it is incompatible with this SSD in some systems.” However, all these SSDs worked fine with PVE8 and the Minisforum MS‑01.

Can you press CTRL+ALT+F3 in the installer and check lsblk-o+FSTYPE,LABEL,MODEL?

I’ll try to do it this evening and provide the info. During the Ubuntu installation, I tried all these commands to find the disk, but unfortunately Ubuntu didn’t detect it at all.

So, finally after a lot of tests I was able to find the parameter that controls the "visible/invisible" state of my specific SSD in Proxmox/Ubuntu. It's called "PCI SR-IOV" in the BIOS settings. It needs to be set to "Enabled"! May be it will help someone!
