Hi,

In PVE4.0b2 if I have a VM managed by HA, and then I disable HA on that VM, the VM is then powered off. I do not recall seeing this behavior in PVE4.0b1. Can it be reverted back to the original behavior please of not powering off when disabling HA on the VM?

Regards,

No such changes were made, it shows the same behaviour as in beta1. See https://git.proxmox.com/?p=pve-ha-manager.git;a=summary for proof :)

And this behaviour is strongly desired, if I disable an HA service it means that the service will no longer provided (and I want that, else I wouldn't disable it) -> the resource will be stopped.
The same is when an disabled service will be started it goes to enabled.

The rules are simple:
A running resource is enabled, as it provides service. And disabled service means the resource is stopped, as no service should be provided (thus the disable)

To achieve your desired behaviour remove the service entry from the ha resources.
